One of my favorite coffee shops I've been to in the Portland area. I'm not a huge coffee person admittedly but my friends said their black ginger coffee and house blends were both nice. I tried their specialty sweet cream latte and it was delicious. They have a whole bunch of unique drinks on their menu that look very nice as well.
We also tried a few of their breakfast roti and NasiPagi (coconut rice + toppings dish) all of which were so good! I'm no expert in quality of rotis but these were buttery, crisp and chewy. If I could make that coconut rice dish I would eat it every day.
The space is pretty cool, which makes sense since it's on the east side. It seems like a hole in the wall shop right near Screen Door (a SUPER popular brunch spot) but they have more, eclectic seating options to the left of where you order. -

Walked in here waiting to have breakfast at screen door next door. Vibe is super chill and laid back. The smell of perfectly pulled espresso shots permeates through the air. It feels like there should be some struggling hungover author working on the next great novel around the corner of the cafe. But I'm not here for any of that.
I was really happy with my Kedai susu a coconut sweat cream latte. My friend got an Indonesian iced cold brew that they had some ginger seasoning on it, super tasty. Pretty solid spot, service was fast and great and it was exactly what i hoped it would be. -

Love this coffee shop!
They have an amazing cup of coffee called the creme brulee. That they caramelize the top part and with a torch in front of you it's beautiful and it tastes even more amazing!
They have very good seating and these red sofa like couches as you enter, and some more belowe what looks like a community table. if you're looking for a great place to meet up with some friends or something unique or definitely go here. Second time going back I probably won't be my last!
oh and fun fact to know I finally found they do ever bathroom right around the corner very very small and hot! I'm not sure why it's so hot but little side note.
Definitely place you want to come have a great cup of coffee chill out with some friends have a good conversation. -

For being a specialty coffee shop I was definitely expecting more. Their Kedai is supposed to be their number one hit but I thought it was pretty mediocre and nothing special for their prices. Definitely better than starbucks but not as impressed as I would have liked.

Kopi is one of my rare 5-Stars so I'm surprised I don't visit more often.
They have hands down the best coffee menu in Portland! Most of their creations are Southeast Asian inspired, there's so many options I've yet to try. Today, I enjoyed one of their wonderful Pour Overs, you get almost two cup fulls so a good deal. And great presentation.
While they did 86 one of my favorite dishes, a chicken salad bowl, they added a new winner: Nasi Pagi. It consists of a coconut rice base mixed with your choice of curry, bacon, etc., green onion and topped with shallots, lime slaw, peanuts and a fried egg. Yum.
Be sure to take advantage of their condiment bar which includes ketchup manis, a sweet, rather than salty soy sauce.
Service has been polite through the years, but always a bit stoic.
Parking is tough especially with ultra popular Screen Door right next door.
